The Efird-Helms Celebration

On Saturday, March 1st, we had the pleasure of photographing Jessica & Daniel's wedding in Kannapolis, North Carolina. I have known Jessica's mom for several years. She is one of the best teachers that I know! She is very outgoing & my boys love her. Jessica is no exception. Her enthusiasm bubbled over the entire day. I believe that you just know when two people are made for each other & in my opinion, these two are! I have photographed quite a few weddings over the past 5 years & I have seen many exits by the bride & groom. This wedding exit, however, took the cake. Jessica & Daniel left the reception in the usual way. The guest lined the sidewalk with birdseed in hand, but little did the bride & groom know, some had more than birdseed. As Jessica & Daniel ran down the sidewalk, all of the groomsmen threw powdered grits at the happy couple. The groom was covered! Everyone, even Jessica & Daniel erupted in laughter. To top it off, Daniel's car was filled with sawdust! As they rode away, amongst all the craziness, I saw the loving couple kiss. That, my friends is what love is truly about!
